Over the summer I sent emails out to record labels to get clearance for specific British artists however, none of the record labels got back to me. Nonetheless, here are a few screen shots of the emails I sent in August.

Possible Shoot Locations
These are our possible shoot locations. The majority of them we do not need permission for, however one location (Cyberdogs) will require permission from the owner, this leaves it as a possibility.
Strengths and Weaknesses of our emake
I've taken a few screen shots of our remakes we made over the summer and I've picked out a few weaknesses and strengths.
We filmed our entire music video in front of the screen screen however, because we had no experience or tips on how to adjust the lighting we ended up having our shadows throughout most of the video. 
This shot was used as our base track of my group and I performed the Macarena dance. This base track was really helpful because there were no mistakes in the clip, so there were no issues with using it during the editing process.
One criticism with this, is the fact that we had no one directing us or checking the camera constantly as all our group members were also the performers, which meant we weren't aware of our positions. This made things slightly difficult and lengthened out our filming process.

This type of mid shot was constantly used as it was in the actual video. I think the shot was taken perfectly, except for the obvious shadow. This shot is a good example of how the performers should be filmed unless you decide to break the codes and conventions of how you use the space on a camera.
This was another base track we used with consisting of the three main performers in the video, identical to the actual music video, however the was more of a close up. In this we can see green gaps on either side but. From this we take away a few tips, such as making sure our storyboards state exactly what should recorded, what type of shot will it be and what we want the viewer to see.
Remake of Music Video
